Quiet Garden in Boscombe
Quaker Friends at Friends Meeting House, Wharncliffe Road, Boscombe invite anyone who wishes to come away from the busyness of our world for a time of quiet contemplation and reflection in the calm oasis of the Meeting House and Gardens to join them on:
Each quiet garden event is opened and drawn to a close by a Quaker Friend. During the time in between all are welcome to enjoy the quiet of the gardens and the Meeting House – meditating, quietly writing, knitting/sewing, reading, sketching, whatever enables calm and contemplation. Tea, coffee, fruit juice and homemade cake is available.
Come for all, or come for part of the time – you will receive a warm welcome.
We normally have quiet gardens in June, July and August.
After the introduction from 1.30pm to 2pm there are two hours of silence, either indoors or in the garden as you wish, and then we come together again at 4pm for a short closing session which ends at 4.30pm.
Come and join us!
